If the patient is in a coma, he can hold his head up with his hands, so that the lower jaw is close to the manubrium of the sternum. to facilitate intubation;


3. If the patient has choking and difficulty breathing during the intubation process, it should be considered that the gastric tube may enter the airway. At this time, the gastric tube should be removed and re-intubated;


4. After inserting the gastric tube, before each nasal feeding, the gastric tube should always be open in the stomach. You can flush the tube with a small amount of warm water before feeding. After the nasal feeding, a small amount of warm water should be injected again to prevent the gastric tube. blockage;


5. The temperature of the nasal food solution should be kept at about 38°C to avoid the stimulation of the gastric mucosa by the food that is too cold or too hot;


6. Long-term nasophagus users should take oral care twice a day and replace the gastric tube regularly. The ordinary gastric tube should be replaced once a week, and the silicone gastric tube should be replaced once a month.


In addition, for patients with esophageal varices and esophageal obstruction, the use of nasophagy should be contraindicated, that is, gastric tube cannot be inserted.
